Banking Knowledge and Sales for Public Service Exams

This course is for Brazilian public service exams (concursos públicos) and the lessons are taught in Portuguese. Banking Knowledge and Sales often decides who gets the job in Brazilian bank exams, and the content is more predictable than it looks: the official notices repeat the same topics. This course follows the syllabus of the latest notices from Banco do Brasil, Caixa, BNB, Banrisul and BASA, all run by the Cesgranrio exam board, under the law in force in October 2026, explained from scratch by Professora Helena. Part one is the Brazilian National Financial System: who sets the rules, who supervises and who operates, the role of the National Monetary Council, the Central Bank and the CVM, the types of bank and the FGC deposit guarantee. Part two is money, interest, monetary policy and exchange rates: reserve requirements, rediscount, open market operations, repurchase agreements and Copom, nominal and real interest and the effect of the exchange rate on exports. Part three is banking products and capital markets: accounts and legal capacity, savings accounts, CDB, LCI and LCA, credit cards and revolving credit, consortiums, pension plans, insurance, shares and the guarantees aval, surety, pledge, mortgage and fiduciary lien. Part four is digital banking, payments and compliance: Pix, Open Finance, fintechs, crypto-assets, money laundering, banking secrecy, the LGPD data protection law, the Anti-Corruption Law and cybersecurity. The last part is sales and customer service: features of services, perceived value, sales techniques, digital marketing, Resolution 4,949, the ombudsman, the Consumer Protection Code and priority service. The questions follow the exam-board style, with multiple choice and True or False, each with the explanation and the rule behind it.
