Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure for Public Service Exams

This course is for Brazilian public service exams (concursos públicos) and the lessons are taught in Portuguese. Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure appear in every notice for Brazilian police careers, such as the Federal Police (PF), the Federal Highway Police (PRF) and the state Civil Police, and Cebraspe-style questions test the detail of the law: the exact penalty, the exact deadline, the word that changes the crime. This course starts from zero with Professor Daniel and teaches only what the notices ask for, under the law in force in October 2026, including the recent changes that older material still gets wrong, such as the new penalties for theft, robbery and robbery followed by death, and femicide as a standalone crime. Part one is criminal law and the typical act: principles, the law in time and space, intent, negligence, attempt and mistake of fact. Part two is unlawfulness and crimes against the person: self-defense, necessity, excess, homicide, femicide, bodily harm and crimes against honor. Part three is property crimes: theft, robbery, extortion, fraud and receiving stolen goods. Part four is crimes against public faith and the Public Administration: forgery, embezzlement, extortion by a public official, bribery, malfeasance and the concept of public official. The last part is police investigation, evidence, search and seizure and arrest in the act, with the custody hearing. The questions are True or False and multiple choice, each with the article that decides the answer.
