Public Service Ethics for Brazilian Exams

This course is for Brazilian public service exams (concursos públicos) and the lessons are taught in Portuguese. Public Service Ethics is a short subject, tested almost always on the exact wording of the rules, so a little focused study secures the points. The course covers exactly what the exam notice asks for: the Code of Professional Ethics of Federal Executive Civil Servants, approved by Decree 1,171 of 1994, and Decree 6,029 of 2007, checked against the text in force in October 2026 and explained from zero by Professor Daniel. Part one is the Code's principles and deontological rules: dignity, decorum, diligence, morality, publicity, the right to the truth and courtesy. Part two is the civil servant's duties and prohibitions, and the traps where a duty is swapped for a prohibition. Part three is the Ethics Committees and Decree 6,029: the Ethics Management System, the Public Ethics Committee, how committees are formed, who can file a complaint, the ten-day deadline for the defense, confidentiality, the penalty of censure and the provisions of the Code that were repealed. The questions follow the exam-board style, with True or False and multiple choice, each with its explanation and the rule behind it.
