Special Criminal Legislation for Public Service Exams
This course is for Brazilian public service exams (concursos públicos) and the lessons are taught in Portuguese. Special criminal legislation is a block of its own in the notices for Brazilian police careers, such as the Federal Police (PF), the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the state Civil Police and the Penal Police, and Cebraspe-style questions test the detail of the law: the exact penalty, the number of people, the deadline, who decides. This course starts from zero with Professor Daniel and teaches the five laws that appear in almost all of these notices, under the law in force in October 2026. Part one is the Drug Law: possession for personal use, drug trafficking, the reduced penalty for first offenders, association for trafficking and the deadlines of the police investigation. Part two is the Disarmament Statute: possession and carrying of firearms of permitted use, firing a gun, restricted and prohibited weapons, illegal trade and international trafficking. Part three covers heinous crimes and torture: the list of heinous crimes, what is treated as equivalent, the prohibitions and the types of torture. Part four is the Abuse of Authority Law: who can commit it, the specific purpose and the crimes that matter most to police work. The last part is the Criminal Organizations Law: the concept, the crime, plea bargaining, controlled action and undercover agents. The questions are True or False and multiple choice, each with the article that decides the answer.
