IT for Public Service Exams
This course is for Brazilian public service exams (concursos públicos) and the lessons are taught in Portuguese. Exams for IT analyst and IT technician positions in Brazil, such as those of the courts, the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), the Office of the Comptroller General (CGU), Serpro and the public banks, test a core that repeats in almost every exam notice: databases, agile methods, networks, information security and cloud computing. This course starts from zero with Professora Helena and follows the official source of each subject. Part one is databases and SQL: tables, primary and foreign keys, queries with SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY and HAVING, normalization and transactions with the ACID properties. Part two is agile methods: the Agile Manifesto, the Scrum Guide, with its accountabilities, events and artifacts, and Kanban. Part three is networking: the OSI model, the TCP/IP architecture, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, TCP and UDP, DNS, DHCP and the most tested ports. Part four is information security and the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD): confidentiality, integrity and availability, attacks and malware, symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, digital signatures and the principles, legal bases and data subject rights of the LGPD. The last part is cloud computing and virtualization: the characteristics, service models and deployment models defined by NIST, hypervisors and containers. The questions follow the exam-board style, with True or False and multiple choice, and every answer explains the deciding concept.
