Industrial Maintenance Mechanic: Technical and Operational Knowledge

Content based on Brazilian standards (Ministry of Labour Regulatory Norms and ABNT). This is the second course in the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic training track; we recommend completing the introductory course, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic: Introduction, first. Here you deepen the technical and operational knowledge used daily in factory and industrial-plant maintenance. The course starts with the four pillars of maintenance, preventive, emergency corrective, predictive, and detective, and when to apply each strategy. Next, you study the hydraulic and pneumatic systems that drive presses, actuators, and production lines, understanding pumps, cylinders, valves, compressors, and compressed-air treatment. The last two tracks cover machine elements: bearings, shafts, and lubrication in the first, and gears, belts, chains, couplings, and brakes in the second. Each track pairs theory with practical shop-floor cases, preparing you to identify failures, read simple diagrams, and propose the right intervention. By the end, you will have the technical knowledge expected of a full-fledged industrial maintenance mechanic.
