Eight very small animals for children aged 6 to 8, hosted by Lupe, a golden retriever puppy who discovers everything alongside the child. The first episode hands over a ruler rather than a fact: a millimetre strip running from 5 to 120, with every animal in the course marked on it at real size and the child's own thumbnail, about ten millimetres across, sitting on it as the anchor. Because the scale is honest, six of the eight crowd into the left end and the strip is magnified there rather than compressed — which is the gesture the whole course is about: you do not make small things bigger, you get closer to them. From there the course walks up the ruler. A leafcutter ant carrying a piece of leaf many times her own weight, who then does not eat it but grows a fungus on it underground. A ladybird whose spots are not her age and never change, and whose red case is a lid over the real wings. A honeybee who makes less than a spoonful of honey in her whole life and tells the hive where the flowers are by dancing. A spider with eight legs against an insect's six, spinning a thread that would hold up a car at the thickness of a finger. A dung beetle that shines like a jewel, buries waste, feeds the soil, and in one species steers by the Milky Way. A snail carrying a house that grows with him and a mouth holding thousands of tiny teeth. An earthworm with no eyes who digs the tunnels that let air and water reach the roots. And a blue morpho whose wing holds no blue pigment at all: the scales are shaped to send blue light back, and the underside is plain brown for hiding. The last episode is what happens to a garden without them. Every animal is a real photograph, every size is drawn against the child's own thumbnail at the true ratio, and there are no exercises inside the videos and nothing to get wrong.
