Where Does Trash Go? for Kids

Six episodes for children aged 6 to 8, hosted by Mig, a five-year-old boy who finds everything out alongside the child. The course runs on a wheel with six stops and one arrow that leaves the wheel and never comes back, because the real one does not close either. It opens at the kitchen bin with a number a child can weigh in her hand: one person throws away almost a kilo of rubbish a day, the weight of a big bottle of fizzy drink, full. Then the truck, whose trick is the squashing noise, and the shed, where the surprise is that the one who separates it all is not a machine but people at the edge of a moving belt, many of them working together in a cooperative. Then the factory, where each material has its own honest rule: aluminium comes back for about twenty times less energy, glass comes back as many times as you like, paper comes back about five times and gets weaker, and plastic hardly comes back at all. Then the compost heap and the worm with no teeth, who eats scraps at the top and gives back richer soil at the bottom. And it closes at the landfill, telling the difference between a landfill and a dump, and the order that actually makes the pile smaller: use less, use again, and only then recycle.
